Desktop Video Conferencing
NETS members may now video conference from their PC via Cisco Jabber, accounts NETS & the other regional network consortiums have licensed. Jabber will conference with other Jabber users & video conference/telpresence rooms. This is a higher bandwidth, desktop video conferencing software that allows you to display your desktop & PC files to the remote sites. There is no cost for NETS members.
What you need for Jabber
Webcam, microphone & speakers (or a mic headset).

Acano Cloud Bridging
NETS has leased Acano for the purpose of bridging PC & mobile users to video rooms & other Acano co-space meeting rooms.
Using a Chrome browser:
Users with a web cam can join conferences from their PC or mobile device with a Chrome browser by clicking on a URL.
NETS members have been given their own co-spaces for independent meetings not accessing video conference rooms.

Minnesota Media Management Project: UM, MnSCU, Regional Higher Ed Networks
This joint project provides an application for faculty, students & staff at MnSCU & the U of M to upload, stream & manage video over the web. While it is in use today, all features have not been fully rolled out. It is jointly funded by the six regional higher ed networks,the U of M & MnSCU.
